Montréal, 19 May 2026 – The International Coordinating Council of Aerospace Industries Associations (ICCAIA) is pleased to welcome the Korea Aerospace Industries Association (KAIA) as a new Associate Member.
KAIA is a non-profit organization established in 1992 to support the growth of Korea’s aerospace industry, representing the interests of both the civil and military aerospace sectors. It was founded to pursue common goals among its members, foster cooperation, and contribute to the development of the aerospace industry. Based in Seoul, KAIA promotes industry policies, supports R&D, and organizes the Seoul ADEX airshow. Its membership includes the vast majority of major aerospace manufacturing and service providers in South Korea. The expertise of KAIA and its members will further strengthen ICCAIA’s mission to represent the global aerospace manufacturing industry and support the development of safe, secure, efficient, and sustainable aviation.
“We are delighted to welcome KAIA to ICCAIA,” said Dan Carnelly, ICCAIA Executive Vice President. “We look forward to this new collaboration and to advancing our shared goals for the benefit of the ICCAIA community and the industry.” This was echoed by Nina Brooks, ICCAIA Executive Vice President, who added “KAIA will bring valuable new perspectives and inputs to our work with ICAO and beyond.”
As an Associate Member, KAIA will contribute to ICCAIA’s work in key areas such as safety and sustainability, and collaborate with members to address the challenges and opportunities facing the aerospace sector.
