Montreal, December 2021  ICCAIA is delighted to welcome the Malaysia Aerospace Industry Association, MAIA, as a new associate member.

MAIA is the industry association for the commercial aerospace sector in Malaysia. Launched in 2016, it is a platform for Malaysian industry players to tackle common interests such as industrial development, promotion of the Malaysian aerospace industry and provide government policy feedback.

Jan Pie, ICCAIA’s Chairman, warmly welcomed MAIA, saying, “MAIA’s membership will enable us to better understand the issues and needs of the aerospace community in Malaysia and in the Asia Pacific region, so that we can represent its views globally. Becoming involved in our committees and working groups will also enable MAIA’s members to draw on the community of experts that we bring together in
airworthiness, air traffic management, security and environment. ”

Mr. Naguib Mohd Nor, President, Malaysia Aerospace Industry Association expressed his support, saying  “Following a recent review, I am delighted to advise that the Malaysia Aerospace Industry Association (MAIA) Board agreed to join ICCAIA as an Associate Member.   It is an honour to join such an esteemed organisation.  We very much look forward to making an effective contribution to the excellent work being undertaken through the various technical committees in the further advancement of the global aerospace industry.”
